You don't have to
speak with a Scottish brogue or even possess your own
tartan to be a member of Egypt Shrine Highlanders, but
it sure wouldn't hurt.
When the Highlanders
dress out in their kilts and march in a parade, they
steal the show.
Their slow proud step
and distinctive sound have stirred emotions for
centuries.
Many of the Nobles in this proud Unit will discuss the
history of their homeland and maybe slip in a little
Irish blarney while they are at it.
There is no finer way
for a Potentate to come into an assembly than to be
piped in to a stirring pipe band favorite, and the
Highlanders rendition of Amazing Grace will wet many an
eyelash before the last notes are sounded.
